Beginner Yiddish
Small group language instruction in a 96-hour complete course equivalent to a year-long college-level beginner Yiddish course.
Beginner Yiddish teaches vocabulary and grammar from the ground up and is recommended for those with little or no comprehension of the Yiddish language. Taught in Yiddish and English. No prior knowledge of the Yiddish/Hebrew alphabet is necessary!
Instruction is based on the textbooks Yiddish: An Introduction to the Language, Literature & Culture, volumes 1&2 by Sheva Zucker. These books are required for this course.
Taught over 4 Quarters of increasing difficulty
Each Quarter costs $500 in tuition
Minimum enrollment: 6
Maximum enrollment: 12
Meets 2x/week for 1.5 hours with flexible scheduling around student availability
